The 25-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter, a Best New Artist Latin Grammy winner, has signed a distribution deal with Warner Music México in alliance with MUN Entertainment.

The Colombian singer-songwriter — one of Billboard’s Latin Artists to Watch in 2022 — will continue to have creative control over her project.

“I greatly admire Juliana. Her talent and creativity are impressive,” said Warner Music Andes MD Daniel Mora in a statement. “I have witnessed her incredible evolution as an artist and the connection she establishes with both her fans and with the general public. Her voice is simply captivating and has the power to win over everyone who listens to it. We are extremely excited to be a part of her journey and continue to witness how her art continues to flourish.”

Velásquez has released two studio albums: Juliana (2021) and Dos, Dos, Dos (2022). In 2021, she won the coveted best new artist award at the Latin Grammys, where she was one of 10 newcomers in the hard-to-predict category that also included Paloma Mami, Bizarrap, Boza and María Becerra. 

“My acting and singing career began when I was very little. I was four years old when I entered a theater academy in Colombia […] That academy became my home,” Velásquez previously told Billboard. “Officially, I began singing and acting when I was seven years old and since then I haven’t stopped. I learned to write songs because when we were practicing for our musicals, I heard the lyrics and thought it was magical that you could tell stories via music. So, I’d go home after rehearsals and write my own version of the songs we had rehearsed.”

Velásquez is currently making the rounds with “Cuando Te Encuentre,” her debut single under the new signing which is part of her forthcoming studio album Mar Adentro.

“I’m not good at pretending that I forgot you/ Baby, I miss you, the nights are long without you,” Wheeler, who penned the lyrics, sings.

The music video captures a heartbroken man in his bedroom remembering his best memories with his ex-girlfriend.

On the one-year anniversary of marriage with Camilo, the 23-year-old Venezuelan singer and actress — one of Billboard‘s Latin Artists to Watch in 2021 – has released her first single of the year, “Uno Mas Uno.”

She co-wrote the romantic ballad, which features an enchanting piano melody and Evaluna’s dulcet vocals, with Camilo and JP Saxe.

In the music video, Evaluna performs the heartfelt song at the beach with a lone piano and the sunset in the background.

“Uno Más Uno” is part of Evaluna’s upcoming debut EP.

Adriana Rios’ “Esta En Ti” Named Favorite Quarantine-Inspired Latin Song

Following a two-week poll asking readers to choose their favorite quarantine-inspired Latin song, Billboard has revealed the fans pick: Adriana Rios.

In the midst of the COVID-19global pandemic, the rising Regional Mexican singer penned a heartwarming song called “Esta En Ti‘.”

The lyrics are a wake-up call to society, encouraging everyone to cooperate and stay at home.

In the track, Rios, one of Billboard’sLatin Artists To Watchin 2020, also recognizes all of the workers and health professionals who have been in the frontline during these challenging times.

Rios’ “Esta En Ti” nabbed more than 45 percent of the votes. The heartfelt song is followed by Ivy Queen’s“Antídoto” with nearly 30 percent of the votes.

Other fan favorites included Karol G and Anuel AA’s“Follow” and Abraham Mateo’s“Esta Cuarentena.”

Becky G to Perform at Pandora’s Pulso Concert

The 21-year-old Mexican American singer and actress is set to perform at Pandora’s Pulso concert alongside Colombian singer Farina, the night’s opening act.

The free event will take place at the Academy in Los Angeles on December 6 and will celebrate the love for Latin music.

“Pandora is the leader in Latin music streaming in the United States and we are excited to have Becky G, one of the favorites of El Pulso, leading our final event of 2018,” said Jeff Zuchowski, Pandora’s vice president of artists and relationships marketing at the industry.

“Farina was named as one of our Latin Artists to Watch this year and, having her as the opening act in this show, confirms that we have made a good choice,” Zuchowski added.
