Aguilera to Perform “Say Something” at the American Music Awards

She may mentor aspiring singers on The Voice… But Christina Aguilera will soon be rockin’ the stage.

The 32-year-old half-Ecuadorian American singer and coach on NBC’s hit reality singing competition has been added to the growing list of performers at this year’s American Music Awards.

Christina Aguilera

Aguilera will perform the power ballad “Say Something” with New York duo A Great Big World.

Aguilera and A Great Big World, as well as new addition Ariana Grande,  will join previously announced performers Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, One Direction, Jennifer Lopez, TLC (with a special guest), Katy Perry and Pitbull, who will also serve as the award show’s host.

The AMAs will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Sunday, November 24, from 8:00 – 11:00 pm ET on ABC.

Winners are determined by fan votes at AMAvote.com. Fans also can vote on Twitter for the first time this year.

The American Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions.

Pitbull to Host the 2013 American Music Awards

Pitbull is ready to show you he’s the host with the most…

The 32-year-old Cuban American rap/pop superstar has been named as the host of the 2013 American Music Awards.

Pitbull

Pitbull will also perform his new single “Timber” alongside Ke$ha at the ceremony, which will be held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and be broadcast on ABC beginning at 8:00 pm ET.

“I am truly honored to be hosting the 2013 American Music Awards,” says Pitbull in a press statement. “The night is only about one thing fun! So buckle and get ready. Dále!”

Pitbull and Ke$ha join previously announced AMAs performers Miley Cyrus, Imagine Dragons, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Luke Bryan, Kendrick Lamar, Florida Georgia Line and One Direction.

The “Give Me Everything” singer will be the show’s first host since 2008.

On last week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, “Timber” climbed 11 spots to a new peak at No. 35.

The collaboration between the recent touring partners follows Pitbull’s 2012 album Global Warming, which included the singles “Don’t Stop The Party,” “Get It Started” and “Feel This Moment“; Pitbull performed the latter track alongside Christina Aguilera at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards last May.

Miguel Performing at Montreal’s Osheaga Music Festival

Miguel is heading to the Great White North…

The 27-year-old half-Mexican American singer-songwriter will be making an appearance at the Osheaga Music Festival, which is taking place at Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau this weekend, August 2-4.

Miguel

Miguel will join other acts like Mumford & Sons, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Vampire Weekend and Beck after original performer Frank Ocean pulled out.

Ocean’s cancellation came after he suffered a tear to one of his vocal cords. The rapper’s health issue has also forced him to cancel the rest of his Australian tour dates as well as his headlining set at Drake‘s annual music festival, OVO.

Miguel, who is nominated for a BET Award this year, most recently performed at the Young Hollywood Awards.

Aguilera to Perform at the Billboard Music Awards

Christina Aguilera may be taking a break from The Voice this season… But she’s still making  music.

The 32-year-old half-Ecuadorian American singer will be performing at this year’s Billboard Music Awards next month.

Christina Aguilera

Aguilera will join her “Feel This Moment” co-collaborator Pitbull, “Come and Get It” singer Selena Gomez and rap duo of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis as performers at the awards show, which will take place on May 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Other artists joining the star-studded lineup include The Band Perry and Kacey Musgraves.

Pitbull and The Band Perry are both competing against previously announced performers Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Miguel for this year’s Milestone Award, which will be given to the fan favorite who gets the most votes online. A lucky fan will get the chance to present the award personally to the winning artist along with co-presenter Cee-Lo Green.
