The tentative plan is for the cast to travel to New Zealand in August, where they’ll self-isolate for two weeks ahead of a potential September 7 start of production, according to Deadline.com.

Ramirez can currently be seen as one of the leads in the first season of Kevin Williamson’s CBS All Access anthology drama series Tell Me a Story, airing on the CW

Along with Alejandro, who portrays Dan, the series also stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German and D.B. Woodside.

Tom Kapinos wrote and executive-produced the pilot and is an executive consultant on the series. It is executive-produced by Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson.

Len Wiseman serves as director and executive producer.

“We knew we had something special with Lucifer, from the engaging performances of Tom, Lauren and the rest of the charismatic cast, to Len Wiseman’s visually stunning look of the show and the amazing storytelling savvy of the Bruckheimer team,” said Fox’s David Madden.

Alejandro Cast as Series Regular on Fox’s Comic Book Drama “Lucifer”

Kevin Alejandro has earned a devilish role…

Kevin Alejandro

Alejandro, who appeared on True Blood and Arrow, replaces Nicholas Gonzalez who played the role in the pilot, written by Tom Kapinos and directed by Len Wiseman.

Based on the characters from the DC Entertainment’s Vertigo, the series, from Warner Bros. Television and Jerry Bruckheimer Television, centers on Lucifer (Tom Ellis) who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he gets his kicks helping the LAPD punish criminals.

Alejandro will play Dan, a gruff LAPD homicide detective who is wary of Lucifer’s involvement with his wife and daughter.

Alejandro just recently became available, coming off the A&E drama The Returned. He previously was a regular on Southland and Golden Boy.

Celaya to Star in NBC’s Supernatural Thriller “Constantine”

Angelica Celaya has landed a supernatural role…

The 32-year-old Mexican American actress and telenovela star has been cast in NBC’s new supernatural thriller Constantine.

Angelica Celaya

Celaya, who guest-starred on Burn Notice, will portray the character of Zed on the show.

The series is based on the characters appearing in the comic series Hellblazerpublished by DC Comics under their Vertigoimprint.

Executive producer Daniel Cerone described Zed as a character with “an interesting dark past” and called her a perfect foil for the title character of John Constantine, portrayed by Matt Ryan, a dark magician who is struggling with his past sins as he tries to protect humanity from a gathering supernatural threat.

“Zed is intuitive, she can detect bulls***,” he said, and Constantine is a “bulls*** artist.”

In addition to Ryan and Celaya, Constantine also stars Harrold Perrineau and Charles Halford.
