Mattel Releases Gloria Estefan Barbie Inspired by the Grammy Winner’s “Get On Your Feet” Video

Mattel has released a Barbie doll made in the likeness of the Cuban singer, actress and businesswoman to celebrate the music icon’s 65th birthday and her 1989 hit single “Get on Your Feet.”

Gloria Estefan“I’m honored to be partnering with Barbie to create a doll in my likeness, especially as I ring in my 65th birthday and right ahead Hispanic Heritage Month,” Estefan said in a statement to Billboard. “When designing my Barbie with the team, I wanted to ensure I was staying true to my multicultural roots – and I believe we did just that.”

The collectible Barbie retails for $55 and is available at AmazonTarget and MattelCreations.com.

The release of Estefan’s signature Barbie arrives ahead of Hispanic Month, which is September 15-October 15.

Inspired by the ‘80s wardrobe in the Grammy winner’s “Get on Your Feet” music video, the Gloria Estefan Barbie is dolled up in a black jacket with intricate, gold detailing, black leggings accentuated with a gold waist chain, and thigh-high, leopard-print boots. The doll also holds a microphone spruced up with lace.

Gloria Estefan BarbieIn addition to releasing the doll, Barbie will also be partnering with Artístas y Músicos Latino Americanos, a North Philadelphia nonprofit that provides young people with private music lessons, songwriting, audio and production programs.

Additionally, Barbie will be underwriting one of ALMA’s event programs and bolstering their Mentor-Fellow programs, which train children in various careers, including arts production and administration.

The 29-year-old Puerto Rican rapper and singer has officially announced his collaboration with footwear and apparel company Reebok.

Anuel AAFoot Locker is launching the official debut of the rapper’s Reebok’s sneaker collaboration, “The Sky Above the Street,” which will feature two signature Reebok models: the Classic Leather and Pump Omni Zone 2 in red and black colorways – “inspired by the sun-faded vibrant urban neighborhoods and outdoor courts of Puerto Rico and celebrates the beauty of the community and its people,” according to a press release.

Anuel AA will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the collection to the local non-profit organization SER De Puerto Rico, supporting the organization’s mission uplifting people with disabilities.

The collection launches on August 26 at 10:00 am ET exclusively at Foot Locker.

Maluma Releases Second “Royalty by Maluma” Clothing Collection

The 28-year-old Colombian singer has released his second clothing collection via Macy’s, which includes matching sets for men and women.

Maluma, Quay Australia,Royalty by Maluma, the collection’s official name, is all about self-expression and embracing one’s extraordinary sense of style, says Maluma, who adds that he wanted to make sure the collection’s style and colors — which feature prints in bright mojito green, scuba blue and more — were inclusive to everyone and enhanced creativity and imagination.

“Fashion for me is a way of self-expression,” Maluma told Billboard, describing his vision in fashion. “Depending on colors and style, it can describe your mood or enhance it positively. Fashion is like music; creativity and imagination.”

The collection features prints with beach scenes, blue waves, palm trees and a Hawaiian travel stamp print representing his global mega-hit song “Hawaii,” which nabbed him his second No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart in 2020.

Although Maluma has long been a fashionista and collaborated in design before, this was his first time designing a summer collection. And it was special for him because he had the opportunity to create bathing suits for women.

“It was a completely memorable and inspiring experience. It was also important for me to share more of Colombia’s coastal side in this collection. I want to continue sharing Colombia with the world in all ways.”

Last weekend, Maluma wore his clothing line while taking over Resorts World Las Vegas for the launch of Maluma Land, a festival where he curated the artist lineup, featuring artists such as Zion & Lennox, BlessdBecky G and DJ Snake, among many others.

“The Maluma Land experience truly represented our music globally and introduced the new generation of Colombia’s urban music scene. I am proud to do what many did not do for me. I had many not believe in me or closed doors, and that’s not who I want to be,” Maluma adds explaining how he feels about being able to open doors for many new talents from Colombia.

Maluma’s summer clothing collection is now available in Macy’s department stores.

The 29-year-old Dominican American rapper and songwriter has released her spellbinding new Reebok collaboration.

Titled “Let Me Be…Enchanted,” Cardi B’s fourth collaboration with the shoe and apparel brand debuted over the weekend, with all new kicks and limited-edition apparel in adults, kids and toddler sizes.

The newest Reebok x Cardi collection is available in select stores and online at Reebok and Footlocker. A second installment of the collection will drop sometime this summer, Women’s Wear Daily reports.

Available in glass blueboulder grey and quartz glow, the stylish high-top sneakers feature “transparent straps, nodding to the transparent way Cardi B lives her life, and Cardi’s signature tongue graphic on the tongue of the silhouette,” Reebok said per WWD.

Another head-turning piece that’s already flying off shelves is the compression-style, figure-hugging leotard ($75). The leotard has a versatile, two-in-one design that allows users to wear it with or without the included bralette, while mesh details add texture and create a layered look.

The 42-year-old Puerto Rican actor, singer-songwriter, rapper, playwright, producer and film director will as one of the hosts and co-chairs of this year’s Met Gala.

The Met Gala, set for May 2, a primary source of income for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, follows last September’s scaled-back, pandemic-restricted “mini-gala” that launched the Met’s two-part exhibition “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.”

The exhibit will include “cinematic vignettes” exploring the roots of American fashion and designed by film directors King, Sofia Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Chloé Zhao, Tom Ford, Janicza Bravo, Julie Dash and Autumn de Wilde.

Ford, Adam Mosseri and Anna Wintour will continue their roles as honorary co-chairs for the May event.

The “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” exhibit will open to the public on May 7.

The 31-year-old Colombian singer has teamed up with Crocs in a collaboration that celebrates Valentine’s Day and self-love.

According to an official description of the two designs, the Mega Crush Clog features an “enhanced rubber tread, updated detailing around the outsole” and comes with its own exclusive Karol G custom Jibbitz charms. The Classic Clog come with a rose-red color base, decorative barbed wire, heart-shaped Jibbitz, metal heart clips on the heel strap and safety pin charm.

The 52-year-old Puerto Rican superstar appears in Coach’s “That’s My Ride” Spring 2022 campaign unveiled on Tuesday.

This season, Coach reworked its signature Horse and Carriage image to include the brand’s first-ever house logo reimagined for a new generation. Megan Thee Stallion, Noah Beck, Wisdom Kaye and Kōki are also featured in the campaign.

The unisex collection includes hoodiescross body bags, large and mini tote bags, backpacksfanny packs and more in white, orange, blue and pink color palettes.

Photographed by Tyler Mitchell and captured in cities across the globe, the campaign was created in collaboration with new Coach ambassadors Dean Fujioka and Shawn Dou, TikTok star Parker Kit Hill and comedian Elsa Majimbo.

Evoking nostalgic ride scenes from music and movies, Megan and Lopez and other members of the Coach family are featured using multiple forms of transpiration.

Lopez, for example, strikes a pose riding a BMX bike while Megan battles it out in bumper cars at a boardwalk amusement park. The Houston native shared a video from the campaign on her Instagram account Tuesday with the caption “Thee main attraction.”

Lopez posted a video as well, captioned, “How I’m riding this spring.”

Maluma Named New Face of Versace Man’s Latest Advertising Campaign

It’s a high-style first for Maluma

The 27-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter has been named the new face of Versace Man for the fashion brand’s latest advertising campaign.

This marks his first campaign with the luxury fashion house that was founded by the late Gianni Versace.

In a set of photographs by duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Maluma is rocking a hot-pink suit, a green dress vest, and a varsity jacket finished with brand patches and “Donatella” embroidery, welcoming the 2022 Spring-Summer collection.

“Maluma has long been a part of my Versace family and I’m so excited for him to star in his first campaign with Versace,” Donatella Versace said in a statement. “I loved the way he played with the camera and the fact that he was as much at ease in front of the camera as he is in front of a stadium full of people singing his songs!”

For Maluma, who also models with his own dog, Buda, fashion is one of his biggest passions outside of music.

“For me, this is a dream come true to be the face of an iconic fashion house like Versace and continuing to represent Colombia globally through music, fashion, and much more,” he expressed. “Together, we have created memorable moments with custom performance and red carpet looks, magazine covers, and the amazing Met Gala 2021 design.
