Ramón Vega & Christian NodalVega and Nodal trade verses of heartbreak over a wistful pop tune.

In the music video, the two navigate different terrains, from the ice age to the Jurassic period, while they figure out how to deal with their newfound solitude.

“I’m tired of always being at fault, for you to leave and me going after you,” Vega sings. “I wish you had a mirror so you could see what you do wrong or a friend who would give you advice.” To which Nodal adds, “I’m discouraged, like the song says without your love I feel down/ I wish I was by your side but your pride has us separated.”

The song is the focus track from Vega’s first album PA Ti :).

It’s the singer/songwriter’s second studio project following his 2021 EP La Nueva R. The 13-track set — which ranges from electro-techno to R&B, urbano and funk — features other previously released songs including “ITA 🙂,” “BeSos aL vIEnTo 🙁” and “eScoRpiÓn 🙂” with Michelle Maciel.

“This album has been a long time coming and a tremendous labor of love,” Vega said about PA Ti :).

“I feel I am stepping into my own as an artist and my goal was to create music that felt authentic to me and my experiences. This album was transformational and cathartic for me in many ways and ultimately I hope people connect with it and enjoy listening to it.”

Las Villa Release Bachata-fied New Single “La Carta”

Las Villa are switching up their sound again…

The Colombian duo, which has recorded trap, perreo and pop music, is now experimenting with bachata for the new single “La Carta.”

Las Villa

Las Villa, comprised of twins Laura and Lucia, present their new single composed by themselves alongside Vibarco, La Pardo, and Casta (who also produced the track).

“La Carta” fuses traditional bachata rhythms with edgy urbano beats, and tells the story of a letter where an ex-partner claims they have changed, but Las Villa believes not for the best. “Now I see you using Balenciaga when a year ago you didn’t care about that/ You’re not happy and soon you’ll realize that your movie will end,” the chorus goes.

“We came to the studio with the idea that we wanted to do a bachata,” the duo expressed in a statement. “It was clear to us that day that we wanted to do something different. The song ends up being about someone who changed from heaven to earth, overnight, and who you used to know and had a very strong bond with, and suddenly that person changes. Their tastes have changed, you don’t recognize them anymore, they now like fine and expensive things, and have completely turned their back on you and on all their values, changing all the fundamentals of life for superficial things.”

In the colorful music video, directed by Sergio de Avila and Jerome Lehoucq, the two sisters are shopping at a local clothing store and gossiping around the streets of Colombia.

Maluma Teams Up with Grupo Firme on New Single “Cada Quien”

Maluma is firme-ing up his musical collaborations…

The 27-year-old Colombian singer and Grupo Firme have released the official music video for their unexpected collab single “Cada Quien.

Maluma x Grupo Firme

The Regional Mexican supergroup released their latest single on Tuesday (Dec. 7) and joined voices with the Colombian star on the track, marking the first time the norteño/banda group collaborated with an urbano artist.

“Cada Quien” is an unapologetic track where each artist chants about living life on their own terms and sends a message to all of those people who like to criticize and judge others: “To each his or her own!”

In the music video, filmed in Medellín, Colombia and presented by Music VIP Entertainment, Maluma and Grupo Firme are seen in a ranch while they sing and take shots straight from the bottle.

“We got a video from Maluma saying hello and asking when we’d work together. I mean, how could we say no to Maluma. We were thrilled and started coordinating everything. It all came together in a matter of days,” he said.

“Yes, we are collaborating outside of our style. We also recorded songs with Reik and Río Roma, but I’m always scared to go into another genre,” the group’s frontman Eduin Caz added. “I’m scared of losing our core fan base. That’s why sometimes I go onstage wearing an urbano outfit with sneakers, and other times, I’m wearing boots and a tejana [cowboy hat] so I can make everyone happy and they don’t get caught off guard when we sing with an urban artist. We’ve been very careful with those types of collaborations, and I trust in Isael (Firme’s manager) that we’re doing the right thing.”
