Lovato Performs “Cool for the Summer” with All-Girl Band on “The Voice Australia”

The 22-year-old part-Mexican American singer/actress performed her latest hit single “Cool For The Summer” over the weekend with an all-female backing band on The Voice Australia.

Lovato, who oozed sex appeal during her performance, was joined by a six-piece female band. All rocked colorful 80s-inspired attire, complete with fur coats and hot pants.

Lovato slayed her vocals as the rest of the ladies jammed out on electric guitars, a keyboard, and drums.

After her performance, Lovato posted a picture on Instagram with the star-studded panel of The Voice Australia coaches, including Ricky Martin, Jessie J and The Madden Brothers.

“Cool For The Summer” has been sizzling on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking the top 20 at No. 19 in its fifth week on the chart.

Martin to Serve as a Coach on the New Season of “La Voz… México”

The 42-year-old Puerto Rican singer has been announced as the fourth and final judge for the upcoming fourth season of La Voz… México.

Martin will join Yuri, Julion Alvarez and Italian singer Laura Pausini as the judges for the reality singing competition.

Mexico’s Televisa network announced that Martin will serve as the fourth judge in a statement Thursday, saying that “all his experience and musical abilities will be available for the next season of La Voz… México.”

Martin previously served as a coach on The Voice Australia.

The new season of La Voz… México begins on September 7.

Martin to Serve as Guest Judge on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”

Life’s a ball(room) for Ricky Martin

The 42-year-old Puerto Rican singer and actor will serve as a guest judge on Season 18 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Martin will be one of a handful of guest judges on the network’s celebrity dance competition throughout the season, including Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts and former DWTS professional dancer, singer and actress Julianne Hough.

During his stint, Martin will appear alongside regular panelists Len GoodmanBruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

There’s no word yet on when Martin will make his guest appearance on the show.

Martin most recently served as a coach on The Voice Australia and debuted in the first episode of season two, on April 7, 2013.

Martin to Release Spanglish Version of “Come With Me”

The 41-year-old Puerto Rican singer and coach on the recent season of The Voice Australia will be performing a Spanglish version of “Come With Me” at the upcoming Premios Juventud gala, according to his publicist.

Martin, whose new single has risen to the No. 1 spot on radio stations in Australia and Latin America, will sing his Spanglish number on July 18 at Miami’s BankUnited Center.

“Come With Me” marks Martin’s return to recording after his performance in the Broadway revival of Evita and the kudos he earned for his work on Australia’s version of The Voice.

“Come With Me,” was released to online music sites last month, is a collaboration with Ilan Kidron, vocalist of the Potbelleez group.

The four-time Grammy winner has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide.

Martin & Rosa to Peform at This Year’s Premio Lo Nuestro

It’ll be a reunion of sorts for Ricky Martin and Draco Rosa

The 41-year-old Puerto Rican global superstar and new The Voice Australia coach and the 43-year-old Puerto Rican singer-songwriter will perform their new single “Más y Más” on the 25th anniversary edition of Premio Lo Nuestro.

It’ll be Martin and Rosa’s first time performing together onstage since their time together as members of Menudo.

“Más y Más” is the new single from Draco’s latest album Vida, his first musical production since overcoming a two-year battle with cancer. The album is being hailed as Draco’s celebration of life after having been declared cancer free. It features duets with many of Latin music’s biggest stars like Martin, Alejandro Sanz, Calle 13, Juan Luis Guerra, José Feliciano, Juanes, Marc Anthony, Maná and Shakira.

The Premio Lo Nuestro awards show will be televised live on Univision on Thursday, February 21 at 8:00 pm ET.

Martin and Rosa join the list of previously announced performers that includes 3BallMTY, Carlos Vives, Jessy & Joy, Juan Luis Guerra, Olga Tañón, Pitbull, Prince Royce and Thalía.

First Glimpse: Martin on “The Voice Australia”

Shakira may have taken over for Christina Aguilera on the upcoming edition of NBC’s The Voice… But she isn’t the only Hispanic artist coaching new singing  talent.

Last November Ricky Martin officially joined the cast of The Voice Australia, where he’ll serve a one of the show’s judges. The 41-year-old Puerto Rican “Livin’ la Vida Loca” singer replaces country superstar Keith Urban, who joined Mariah Carey on American Idol.

And now Martin is giving his fans a first look at his work on The Voice Australia. He released on Twitter a teaser video from Australia’s Nine Network highlighting some of the blind auditions.

Martin, who recently wrapped up production on Broadway’s Evita, joins last year’s coaches Delta Goodrem, Seal and Joel Madden on the program, as they search for the best voice of Australia.

The 40-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actor, who just announced he’ll be leaving the cast of Broadway’s Evita revival, has joined the coaches’ panel of Australia’s version of NBC’s The Voice.

When the show returns to Oz’s Nine Network next year, Martin will occupy the red chair vacated by country superstar Keith Urban when he joined American Idol as a judge this year.

The announcement was made on Nine’s A Current Affair program in Australia on Thursday after weeks of speculation.

Martin will join returning coaches Seal, Joel Madden and Delta Goodrem.

The inaugural season of the Australian version kicked off last April and consistently won its time slot to become a ratings powerhouse.

Nine’s Peter Wiltshire recently said the network will add hours of The Voice for next season. A debut date has yet to be announced.

The Voice is produced locally by Shine Australia.
