Demi Lovato to Perform at GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles

Demi Lovato is GLAAD to be hitting the stage…

The 33-year-old half-Mexican American Grammy-nominated actress & singer is set to perform at the 37th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, March 5.

Actor and producer Jonathan Bennett will host the ceremony.

For the sixth consecutive year, Hulu will serve as the event’s official streaming destination.

The ceremony will premiere on the platform on March 21.

Lovato, who received the GLAAD Media Vanguard Award in 2016, has had nine top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 (topped by Here We Go Again, which reached No. 1 in 2009) and four top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 (topped by “Sorry Not Sorry,” which reached No. 6 in 2017).

Lovato will embark on her It’s Not That Deep arena tour in April.

Expected guests at this year’s GLAAD Media Awards include: Abe Sylvia, Camila Mendes, Cara Delevingne, Claybourne Elder, Colton Underwood, Don Lemon, Eugene Daniels, George Wallace, Jessica Hargrave, Jonathan Capehart, Karolina Wydra, Kristen Wiig, Lauren Chan, Laverne Cox, Lili Reinhart, Mason Blomberg, Megan Falley, Melissa Fumero, Miles Heizer, Mindy Cohn, Paul Feig, Rhea Seehorn, Rob Mac, Ryan White, Scott Hoying & Mark Hoying, Stef Willen, Stephanie Beatriz, Tig Notaro, Tom Daley, Tonatiuh and unspecified cast and creatives from Heated Rivalry.

This year’s awards spotlight 291 nominees across 32 categories, covering film, television, gaming, music, podcasting, journalism, Spanish-language media, and more. Nominees reflect work published, released, or broadcast during calendar year 2025.

GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis serves as executive producer of the 2026 GLAAD Media Awards, alongside GLAAD’s Rich Ferraro and Anthony Allen Ramos. GLAAD’s Jose Useche will serve as producer.

The ceremony is produced in partnership with STAMP Event Co.

Demi Lovato Set to Release “Celebratory Dance-Pop Album”

Demi Lovato is about to drop it like it’s pop…

The 32-year-old Mexican American singer/actress is set to resurrect her mainstream influences on a dance-heavy new album, despite committing to a punk-rock pivot over the past few years, per the Rolling Stone.

Though many details of the LP are still under wraps, the publication confirmed that Lovato has been hard at work on a “celebratory dance-pop album” with executive producer Zhone, who says that the former Disney star is a “master in the studio.”

“It’s been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up,” he told RS.

“This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music!” Zhone added. “It really comes across throughout.”

Led by an EDM-tinged single titled “Fast” — which Lovato has been teasing via video snippets on social media — the upcoming full-length is expected to mark a return to the form of the Camp Rock alum’s past pop-focused Billboard Hot 100 hits (think: 2015’s “Cool for the Summer” or 2017’s “Sorry Not Sorry”).

It’ll follow 2022’s distinctly punk-rock effort Holy Fvck, which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200.

Shortly before releasing Holy Fvck, Lovato commemorated the end of a pop-music era by posing solemnly in a photo with members of their team — including then-manager Scooter Braun — dressed all in black. “A funeral for my pop music,” Lovato wrote at the time on Instagram.

The star later doubled down on her pivot to rock music by releasing Revamped, an album of past Lovato pop hits reimagined in the edgier genre.

With the new album approaching, however, Lovato recently shared a video on TikTok poking fun at their past departure from the mainstream, writing, “my pop music coming back to life after we held a funeral for it.”

One major change in Lovato’s personal life that has informed her musical homecoming is the vocalist’s marriage to producer Jordan “Jutes” Lutes,” according to RS. The pair tied the knot this past May.

“Over the past few years, Demi has found love, joy, and newfound confidence, making the choice to approach life with much more lightness and fun,” one unnamed source reportedly told the publication. “She took this sentiment into the studio, which can be felt in every track on this celebratory dance-pop album.”

Though Lovato always had an edgier sound than many of their fellow Disney Channel-bred pop stars, the performer shined in the pop-music landscape before transitioning away to rock. From 2008’s debut LP Don’t Forget to 2021’s Dancing With the Devil, all seven of Lovato’s studio albums leading up to Holy Fvck charted in the top 5 of the Billboard 200.

Lovato has also scored a number of Hot 100 hits over the course of her pop career, including top 10 entries “Heart Attack” and “Skyscraper.”

Bad Bunny to Co-Host & Perform on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Next Week

Bad Bunny is preparing for a Tonight to remember…

The 30-year-old Puerto Rican Grammy-winning superstar is set to make a special appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, January 13 as both a musical guest and co-host.

Bad Bunny will give a live performance of a song from his latest album Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which was releases on Sunday, January 5.

The 17-track release is Benito Antonio’s sixth solo full-length, which is a riveting and charming homage to Puerto Rico, where he honors the native styles stylistically and thematically, encompassing new and traditional genres like jíbara, plena, salsa and reggaetón.

“I’ve been dreaming about this album for years, and seeing it come to life has brought me immense happiness,” Bad Bunny previously said in a press release. “I’ve always been honest with my followers, and through this new production, they’ll continue to learn more about me as I, too, discover more about myself. This album is the result of the experiences that have led me to get to know myself better, even getting to know the rhythms I enjoy most — the ones I truly enjoy singing and creating.”

In 2019, Bad Bunny made his first English-language TV interview on The Tonight Show, where he performed “Bellacoso” alongside fellow Puerto Rican rapper Residente.

His next appearance will mark the “El Clúb” hitmaker’s seventh time on the show. Prior to this engagement, Demi Lovato was the last artist to co-host the late-night show in 2022.

The episode starring Bad Bunny will be broadcast live on NBC at 11:35 p.m. ET and will also be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.

Demi Lovato Named Brand Ambassador for Affordable Kitchenware Brand Bella

Demi Lovato is cooking up a new endeavor…

The 32-year-old half-Mexican American Grammy-nominated singer and actress, who says she’s in her “Martha Stewart era,” has been named brand ambassador for Bella, an affordable kitchenware brand that sells space-saving cookware priced at $15 and up.

“I like to believe I’m in my Martha Stewart era, and, when I came across Bella, I wasn’t intimidated by the products,” Lovato said in a statement. “They’re easy to use, the colors are fun and different (the Surf color is my favorite), and I just knew these were the kitchen products I wanted to use every day.”

As part of the partnership, Lovato debuted Bella’s new Fits-Anywhere collection — available in the brand’s signature colors: Oatmilk, Plum and Surf. Lovato also stars in a “360-degree media campaign” helmed by director Maca Rubio.

Described as a “first-of-its kind kitchenware system that saves up to 50 percent more space,” Bella’s Fits-Anywhere collection is comprised of seven small appliances and two cookware pieces.

The set includes an air fryer, griddle, blender, waffle maker, coffee maker, warming tray, toaster and more.

According to Bella, the cookware is free of PFAs, PFOA, PTFE, lead and cadmium, and features the brand’s trademarked EverGood Ceramic Nonstick Coating.

“We spoke to thousands of consumers and learned that 74 percent of their countertop space is taken up by appliances. We wanted to declutter their kitchens, create space and give them more room to gather with family and friends,” said Shae Hong, founder and CEO of Made by Gather and Bella.

In addition to announcing its first brand ambassador, Bella is launching a selection of 21 other products including an AirFryer Toaster Oven, an update to Bella’s Rocket Blender and a single-serve coffee maker in the Oatmilk colorway.

Bella is available at major retailers including Amazon, Target, Walmart and Macy’s.

Demi Lovato to Perform at 2024 Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Gala

The 32-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress will perform at the 2024 Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Gala on Saturday, October 5, at The Event Deck at LA LIVE in downtown Los Angeles.

The biannual Gala raises funds to support the hospital’s mission.

“Children’s Hospital Los Angeles holds a very special place in my heart,” Lovato said in a statement. “Over the years, it’s been my personal honor to meet so many families in their care and witness first-hand the compassion and brilliance of their staff. Creating hope and building healthier futures is at the heart of their mission, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate and support that at this memorable event.”

Lovato has notched eight top 10 albums on the Billboard 200, including Here We Go Again, which debuted at No. 1 in 2009. She has also had four top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, topped by “Sorry Not Sorry,” which reached No. 6 in 2017.

Her awards include an MTV Video Music Award for “Skyscraper” and two Grammy nods.

Chuck Lorre, Bernadette and Sugar Ray Leonard, and AEG will each receive the Courage to Care Award for their humanitarian efforts at CHLA and beyond.

Lorre is one of the most successful producers in TV history, with such smash hits as Two and Half Men, The Big Bang Theory and Mom. He was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 2012.

Actor Jon Cryer, one of the stars of Two and a Half Men, and his wife, actress and producer Lisa Joyner, will co-host the event. Kaley Cuoco, one of the stars of The Big Bang Theory, will serve as a presenter, along with actor Jamie Lee Curtis (a past winner of the Courage to Care award), actor Colin Hanks and radio broadcaster

This year’s honorary co-chairs are Jimmy Kimmel and wife Molly McNearny, and Kristin and Jeffrey Worthe. Kimmel and McNearny both won Primetime Emmys earlier in September for their work on the 2024 Oscars, which was voted outstanding variety special (live). Kimmel won as host; McNearny as an executive producer.

Trailer Released for Hulu Documentary “Child Star,” Featuring Demi Lovato Discussing Childhood Fame

Demi Lovato is shining an eye-opening spotlight on childhood fame…

The 32-year-old half-Mexican American opens up about growing up in Hollywood in her upcoming Hulu documentary, Child Star, with the official trailer for the project arriving on Thursday, September 5.

In the two-minute clip, Lovato meets up with iconic former child stars such as Drew Barrymore, Kenan Thompson, Christina Ricci, Raven-Symoné, JoJo Siwa, Alyson Stoner and more, and they reflect on their careers, including struggles with substance abuse, societal pressure and more.

“Everyone wanted to make it in the industry at a young age,” Lovato is heard saying in the trailer, as scenes from her life on the Disney Channel and more flash on the screen. “I was seven years old.”

She continues, “It scares me to hear that these kids are making tens of millions of dollars. There have to be protections put in place.”

Nicola Marsh, and Lovato co-directed Child Star, which aims to “deconstruct the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight through the lens of some of the world’s most famous former child stars,” according to a release.

Child Star is produced by OBB Media’s Michael D. Ratner, who directed and produced Lovato’s 2021 documentary, Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, along with Scott Ratner, Miranda Sherman, Kfir Goldberg and Lovato.

It’s executive produced by Marsh, Scooter Braun, Scott Manson, Jen McDaniels, Glenn Stickley and James Shin.

Child Star will be available to stream on Hulu beginning on September 17.

Demi Lovato to Star in Stephanie Laing’s Feature Drama “Tow”

Demi Lovato is towing the line…

The 31-year-old half-Mexican American Grammy-nominated singer and actress will star opposite Rose Byrne and Dominic Sessa in Stephanie Laing’s feature Tow.

The project will see Lovato take on her first dramatic role in a feature.

Tow will see Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Byrne portray the true story of Amanda Ogle, an unhoused Seattle woman who fought her way out of tow-company hell to reclaim her life and the car that held it all together after receiving a tow bill for $21,634. Ogle also serves as an executive producer on the film.

Laing previously described Ogle as “a true champion” and her story as one of “tenacity and perseverance”.

The original screenplay comes from Jonathan Keasey, Brant Boivi, and Annie Weisman.

Lovato has sold more than 24 million records in the U.S. alone.

She’s best known on screen for roles in comedy series and films including Camp Rock, Princess Protection Program, Glee and the Netflix film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

Luisa Sonza to Receive Global Force Award at Billboard Women in Music Awards

Luisa Sonza is a global force… And now she’ll have an award to prove it!

The 25-year-old Brazilian singer-songwriter will be among the honorees of this year’s Billboard Women in Music Awards.

Sonza will receive one of Billboard’s new Global Force Awards.

Sonza has released three studio albums, two EPs and two compilations. She has also collaborated with both Katy Perry and Demi Lovato. She and Pabllo Vittar cohost the HBO Max show Queen Stars.

But she’s not the only Latinx artist being feted…Young Miko will receive the Impact Award.

The Puerto Rican rapper and singer-songwriter cracked the Billboard Hot 100 last year with her reggaeton song, “Classy 101” (with Feid). She incorporates her identity and interests, including anime and urban music, into her music.

Ice Spice will receive the Hitmaker Award.

“Four” is the 24-year-old half-Dominican American rapper’s magic number at the moment. That’s the number of Grammy nominations she received this year, including best new artist. And it’s the number of top 10 hits on the Hot 100 she amassed last year – for collaborations with Taylor Swift (“Karma”), PinkPantheress (“Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2”) and a pair of collaborations with Nicki Minaj (“Princess Diana” and “Barbie World,” which also featured Aqua).

The latter song is nominated for two Grammys – best rap song and best song written for visual media. “Karma” is nominated for best pop duo/group performance.

Tracee Ellis Ross will host the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, which will be held Wednesday, March 6, at YouTube Theater at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Calif. – just outside of Los Angeles — and will stream on March 7. The annual event features musical performances and honors women powerhouses who are shaping the music landscape.

Presenters, performers and additional honorees, including the identity of the 2024 Billboard Woman of the Year, will be announced in the coming weeks.

“We could not be more excited to celebrate these inspiring and dynamic artists from around the world, as they move our culture forward and inspire women everywhere to push boundaries and pursue their own dreams,” Billboard’s editorial director, Hannah Karp, said in a statement. “With the talented Tracee Ellis Ross as our host, this year’s Billboard Women in Music Awards will be an unforgettable evening.”

NewJeans: Group of the Year Award
The South Korean group made a big splash in August 2023 when their second EP, Get Up, entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1, displacing Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The group also had five Hot 100 hits, topped by “Super Shy,” which rode the chart for two months.

Ice Spice: Hitmaker Award

Kylie Minogue: Icon Award
Minogue kicked off her Las Vegas residency on the heels of her 2023 Tension album, which featured the dance-floor smash “Padam Padam.” The track is nominated for a Grammy for best pop dance recording. Minogue won a Grammy for best dance recording 20 years ago for “Come Into My World.”

Minogue has a longer history on the Billboard Hot 100 than any of this year’s other nominees. She landed her first top 10 hit, a cover version of Little Eva’s “The Loco-Motion,” in 1988. She returned to the top 10 in 2002 with “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” Her album Fever reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 in 2002.

Maren Morris: Visionary Award
Last year, Maren announced that she was taking a break from country music, the format in which she became a star. She has also been outspoken about aspects of country music culture where she would like to see change. She won a Grammy for best country solo performance for “My Church” seven years ago. She has landed two top 10 albums on the Billboard 200, Hero (No. 5 in 2016) and GIRL (No. 4 in 2019). She landed her biggest hit to date for a pop recording, “The Middle,” on which she teamed with Zedd and Grey. The smash reached No. 5 on the Hot 100 in 2018.

Charli XCX: Powerhouse Award
The pop star performed “Speed Drive” on Barbie: The Album. Her biggest unaccompanied hit on the Hot 100, “Boom Clap,” was also from a film, The Fault in Our Stars. That song made the top 10 in 2014. She has made the top 10 as a featured artist twice – on Icona Pop’s “I Love It” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy.” Charli XCX’s album Crash reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 in 2022.

Tems: Breakthrough Award
The Nigerian singer-songwriter and record producer is nominated for a Grammy as a co-writer of Rhianna’s smash “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The smash, which entered the Hot 100 at No. 2 in late 2022, is nominated for best song written for visual media. A year ago, it brought Tems and her co-writers an Oscar nod for best original song.

Tems won a Grammy last year – best melodic rap performance for Future’s “Wait for U,” on which she was featured (along with Drake). That song topped the Hot 100 in 2022. Tems landed her first top 10 hit, as a featured artist on Wizkid’s “Essence,” in 2021. Justin Bieber was also featured on that smash.

Young Miko: Impact Award
The Puerto Rican rapper and singer-songwriter cracked the Hot 100 last year with her reggaeton song, “Classy 101” (with Feid). She incorporates her identity and interests, including anime and urban music, into her music. Young Miko’s birth name is María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano.

Luísa Sonza: Global Force Award

Demi Lovato’s Clean-Bandit Collaboration “Solo” Joins YouTube’s Billion Views Club

Demi Lovato has a billion reasons to celebrate…

The 31-year-old half-Mexican American actress/singer and Clean Bandit’s five-year-old duet “Solo” has become the newest member of YouTube’s Billion Views Club.

The electronic dance track’s music video has been watched more than one billion times on the video platform since it was uploaded in May 2018.

The wide-lens project finds Lovato, whose vocals are featured on the song, singing to the camera in between shots of Clean Bandit’s Jack and Luke Patterson cooking up a mysterious drug in a basement lab underneath a laundromat.

At the end, a patron played by Clean Bandit’s Grace Chatto tests out the drug on her boyfriend — who promptly turns into a rainbow-colored dog.

“Since you been gone/ I’ve been dancing on my own,” Lovato sings. “There’s boys up in my zone/ But they can’t turn me on.”

“Solo” bowed at No. 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 about a month after it first debuted on the chart in July 2018. It was also that year’s most searched song on Shazam, with Nicky Jam and J Balvin’s “X” and Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa’s “One Kiss” following close behind in second and third place.

The song soared to No. 48 on the Streaming Songs chart in August 2018, showing 14 percent streaming gains that month. Shortly prior to the spike, Lovato was hospitalized due to a near-fatal overdose.

The “Cool for the Summer” singer is currently gearing up to release A Very Demi Holiday Special on Roku. The December 8 program will feature live performances from Lovato as well as guest appearances from Paris Hilton, Tiffany Haddish and Trixie Mattell.

Demi Lovato & More Artists Join Climate Change Human Rights Campaign

Demi Lovato is speaking up for climate justice goals…

The 31-year-old half-Mexican American singer/actress is among the artists releasing statements urging leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference to support climate justice goals.

Lovato is part of the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance, a campaign that links climate action and human rights. Other artists participating include Cyndi Lauper, Carole King and Annie Lennox.

The campaign will benefit from the artists’ combined social media followings of more than 300 million, with the goal to build support for United Nations Human Rights climate justice goals. Rob Thomas will add his voice to the campaign in the coming days.

The Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance addresses climate change through the lens of human rights, coalescing input from human rights experts, scientists, corporate leaders, NGOs, academics, advocates and people around the globe in the fight for rights-based climate action to preserve the future of humanity and the planet. The organization is partnered with the United Nations Human Rights, one of the U.N.’s major divisions.

All four artists released statements supporting the campaign via Instagram.

“By working together and supporting rights-based climate action for people and the planet,” Lovato wrote, “we can realize a better, more sustainable future for all.”

“Climate change is the SINGLE BIGGEST HEALTH THREAT FACING HUMANITY,” Lennox wrote. “The impacts are already harming health through air pollution, disease, extreme weather events, forced displacement, food insecurity, and pressures on mental health. Every year environmental factors take the lives of 13 million people… Climate change is a huge challenge, yet there ARE MANY SOLUTIONS. These solutions can deliver economic benefits while improving our lives and protecting the environment.”

“The impacts of climate change are now being felt in all countries, yet not all people are being impacted the same way,” wrote Lauper. “Climate change is hitting the poorest and most vulnerable women, children and marginalized people of the world most.”

“By working together and supporting inclusive, rights-based climate action for people and the planet,” wrote King, “we can realize a better, more sustainable future for all.”

The social media campaign precedes a press conference from the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Alliance and United Nations Human Rights in Dubai at COP28 on December 8.

The press conference will include Recording Academy president Panos A. Panay and Chantel Sausedo, the Recording Academy’s vp of artist relations, who together will discuss the organization’s goals of using music to promote climate justice and rights-based climate action.

The Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit will be held at the University of Oxford from September 11-14, 2024 and end with the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Concert. The lineup for the event will be announced at a later date.
