Jennifer Lopez Teases That “This Is Me … Now” Album About Ready for Release

Jennifer Lopez’s highly anticipated new album may be released in the near future…

After first teasing her new album in November, the 53-year-old Puerto Rican superstar announced on Instagram that This Is Me … Now is just about ready for release.

Jennifer LopezLopez kept things vague in her post, simply sharing a black and white photo of her posing in front of a wall emblazoned with the title This Is Me…Now.

“Album delivery day ✨ #THISISMENOW,” she wrote in her caption.

It’s unclear what she means by “delivery day,” but J.Lo did confirm earlier this year that fans could definitely expect her ninth studio album by the end of the summer season.

“My upcoming album This Is Me … Now is coming out this summer,” she shared in March for Spotify’s new Countdown Pages feature. “Yes, you heard it here first. I’m super excited.”

This Is Me … Now serves as a follow-up to Lopez’s similarly titled 2003 record This Is Me … Then, which was dedicated to her partner at the time, Ben Affleck. The two were engaged in 2002 before parting ways in early 2004 — that is, until 2022, when the couple rekindled their romance. Now married to Affleck, Lopez has confirmed that This Is Me … Now is also inspired by Affleck and their stronger-than-ever relationship.

“The reason we’re here is because I want to capture this moment in time because it is even better than the first time,” the “Jenny From the Block” musician told Zane Lowe last year. “We captured me at this moment in time when I was reunited with the love of my life, and we decided we were going to be together forever. The whole message of the album then is this love exists. This is a real love.”

Jennifer Lopez & Shakira Rock the Super Bowl with Their Epic & Latin Proud Halftime Show

Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are celebrating an epic night at Hard Rock Stadiumin Miami.

The 50-year-old Puerto Rican superstar and the 43-year-old Colombian superstar teamed up for an electrifying Super Bowl halftime show.

Shakira & Jennifer Lopez

J.Loand Shakimade history at Super Bowl LIVon Sunday as the first two Latina women to co-headline the coveted halftime show gig, and they each brought their unique styles to a worldwide audience, performing a combined 20 songs in 14 minutes. (Gloria Estefanwas part of the 1992 and 1999 halftime shows, and sent her support for Lopez and Shakira, both of whom she has written songs for.)

Shakira kicked things off with her hit “She Wolf,” then seamlessly transitioned into her track “Empire,” where she showcased her ability to shred on the guitar.

After a brief dance interlude, Shakira — who rocked a sparkly red two-piece — broke into “Whenever, Wherever” and a cover of Cardi B’s “I Like It,” with an assist from Puerto Rican Latin trap and reggaeton singer Bad Bunny, who appears on the original singer.

Shaki, who celebrated her 43rd birthday on Super Bowl Sunday, then showed off her dancing skills once again before singing “Hips Don’t Lie,” during which she crowd-surfed atop a group of enthusiastic fans.

Then, Lopez took over the program, taking the stage atop a skyscraper-like pole for a high-energy performance of “Jenny from the Block” and “Ain’t It Funny,” and then transitioned into “Get Right.”

After shedding her studded black leather bodysuit for a sparkly silver one, Lopez showed off her Hustlersmoves own on a stripper pole, while singing “Waiting for Tonight.”

J.Lo was then joined by J. Balvin, who assisted her on “Love Don’t Cost a Thing.”

Lopez continued to flaunt her moves to “Mi Gente” before moving on to a high-octane version of “On the Floor.”

The performance then transformed into a family affair as Lopez brought out her 11-year-old daughter Emme, who hit the stage singing a slowed-down rendition of “Let’s Get Loud” — with Shakira on drums — before her mom came back out wearing a large jacket made of feathers that featured the American flag on one side and the Puerto Rican flag on the other. It was a show of support to the territory, which has been affected by natural disasters in recent years, including Hurricane Maria and a recent damaging earthquake.

Emme briefly sang Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A.” while the set design featured glowing cages housing child performers, a marked gesture of solidarity toward the Latin community and those impacted by anti-immigration policies.

Then Shakira joined Lopez to sing “Let’s Get Loud” together.

The duo then moved on to Shakira’s hit “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” before switching back to “Let’s Get Loud,” at which point they closed out their set with impressive synchronized shimmiesas fireworks went off behind them, before wrapping their historic performance with a hug.

Jennifer Lopez Releases New Single “Medicine,” featuring French Montana

Jennifer Lopezis playing doctor, of sort…

The 49-year-old Puerto Rican superstar has joined voices with French Montana on her latest single “Medicine.”

Jennifer Lopez

The horn-tinged track premiered via Beats 1 on Wednesday afternoon (April 3) alongside an in-depth conversation between Jenny From the Block and Ebro Darden.

J.Loinitially let fans in on the plan for her next musical endeavor late last month, and the uptempo bop arrived just about two weeks later.

The multi-hyphenate delivers an earworm of a chorus that’s perfect for listeners to bust a move to.

“Think you need some medicine/ I can be your medicine, yeah/ Think you need some medicine/ Give you a taste of what you give out,” she passionately sings.

During Lopez’s chat with Ebro on Beats 1, the pair touched on the upcoming “Medicine” video, balancing music with her other business ventures, some throwbacks that inspired her teenage years, the highly anticipated It’s My Party Tour, which kicks off on June 7 in Los Angeles, and much more.

No matter where J.Lo’s journey takes her, she will always feel the most at home when performing her music.

“That was my first love. That was where I felt the most alive. Still to this day, the place I feel the most alive,” she explained. “As much as I enjoy doing everything that I do, the most love I feel is when I’m performing my music in front of people. For me, that’s where I feel the most at home.”

Forget “Jenny from the Block”… Jennifer Lopez is an intergalactic goddess who could be called “Jenny from the Milky Way.”

Following her show-stopping performance on American Idol, the 45-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress has released the official music video for her new ballad “Feel the Light,” which is featured in the animated film Home.

Jennifer Lopez Feel the Light Video

Lopez, who voices the character Lucy in the Dreamworks animated adventure film, is seen flying through space while bedazzled with sparkling gems (a la “Waiting for Tonight” in the intergalactic-themed clip.

She also wears a white catsuit with sheer-paneling as she stands on what appears to be a spaceship against the backdrop of far-off galaxies.

In another part of the video JLo dances with some of the animated aliens from the film in a white party dress and skyscraper heels, showing them how to get their dance groove on.

Home will be released later this month, and also features the voices of Jim Parsons, Rihanna and Steve Martin.

It centers around Oh (Parsons), an alien on the run from his own people who lands on Earth and befriends Tip (Rihanna), helping her reunite with her mother Lucy (Lopez). The duo embark on an adventure together where Oh comes to understand that being different and making mistakes is all part of being human.

‘It’s the first movie I’ve been in that my kids had heard about before I told them,’ Lopez told Access Hollywood earlier this week.

Lopez noted that it was her first time releasing a ballad as a single.

“It’s very weird for me not to move,” she laughed.

Lopez Reportedly Working on Song Collaboration with Taylor Swift

Move over PitbullJennifer Lopez may have found her next collaborator…

The 44-year-old Puerto Rican singer, actress and American Idol judge is reportedly working on a new song collaboration with Taylor Swift.

Jennifer Lopez & Taylor Swift

The song would appear on Lopez’s next studio album, which will come out early next year. It will follow up their live duet of “Jenny from the Block” during Swift’s final Red tour show in Los Angeles last August 25.

“Sang Jenny From the Block with @JLo tonight at Staples Center. STILL FANGIRLING OUT ABOUT IT,” wrote Swift on Twitter after the sold-out show. The “Live It Up” performer tweeted back, “@taylorswift13 had so much fun with you tonight!!! #RedTourLA #jennyfromtheblock #hairbrushsongs.”

Even before her online message, J.Lo had already been showering Swift with her kind words, reportedly telling the young pop superstar during a Staples Center backstage huddle, “Thank you so much for allowing our family to come and be a part of your family.”

Lopez called Swift “gracious and beautiful” for inviting her to be the special surprise guest in her tour finale, saying, “I feel very blessed to be able to share the stage with you, and I just hope that everybody has the best show that they could ever have.”

Although there were no details yet as to the type of song that they’re working on for J.Lo‘s tenth studio album, it’s expected to be another big hit.

The still-untitled LP will also feature a collaboration between Lopez and hip-hop superstar Chris Brown.
