Rauw Alejandro to Headline First-Ever Vibra Urbana Music Festival Orlando Edition

Following its inaugural edition in Miami last February 2020, the Vibra Urbana Music Festival will make its debut in Orlando with a two-day event featuring the 28-year-old Puerto Rican rapper, singer and composer.

Set to take place July 31 – August 1, phase one of this year’s lineup includes artists like, Sech, Mora, Mariah Angeliq, Alex Rose, Dalex, Eladio CarrionZion & Lennox, among others, who are set to perform at the Orlando Amphitheater. Additional artists will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

“After over a year since our last show as a result of the pandemic, our team wanted to make sure we delivered the most exciting and energetic festival for our fans,” Javier Caso, founder and partner of Vibra Urbana, said in a statement. “Being able to bring our Vibras to a second city in the Sunshine State makes us beyond excited.”

“We are honored to be bringing some of the biggest and brightest names in the genre with Rauw Alejandro and Sech, along with one of the legendary groups in reggaeton, Zion Y Lennox,” added Kirk Taboada, head of talent and Vibra Urbana partner. “It has always been a dream of mine to do a reggaeton festival here in my home state. Orlando, I hope you’re ready for us!”

Other artists set to perform in Orlando include Boza, Eix, El Prefe, Emilia, LATENIGHTJIGGY, Marconi Impara, Mario Duran and Omy de Oro. Tickets will go on-sale on Friday, May 14, at 10:00 a.m. ET at www.vibraurbanafest.com.

Growing from a single-day event to two days, Vibra Urbana will also return to Miami at the Miami Dade County Fair & Expo Center on December 18-19. This year, the outdoor fest will transform into an immersive two-day experience in a new, open-air format.

Rauw Alejandro Signs Exclusive Co-Publishing Deal with Warner Chappell Music

The 27-year-old Puerto Rican rapper, singer and composer has signed an exclusive co-publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.

The worldwide deal covers Rauw’s releases going forward.

“He’s a creative and fearless writer who isn’t afraid to push the boundaries and experiment with his sound,” said Gustavo Menendez, Warner Chappell Music, Latin America president, in a press statement. “Since breaking onto the scene he’s consistently released hit after hit, and has made a name for himself in the growing Latin urban space.”

Rauw, who was nominated for best new artist at the 2020 Latin Grammys, is currently making the rounds with his debut studio album Afrodisiaco, which opened at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart (dated November 28) and arriving at No. 75 on the all-genre Billboard 200. Additionally, “Tattoo,” with Camilo, “De Cora <3,” with J Balvin, and “Reloj” with Anuel AA, all entered the Hot Latin Songs chart this year.

“The team has done a great job connecting me with other producers for some of my favorite collaborations so far, and it’s a pleasure to now have them represent my music,” Rauw said, expressing he feels honored to form part of the Warner Chappell family.

Rauw joins the publisher roster that includes Latin urban’s major rising acts including Jhay Cortez, Lunay, Duki, Omy de Oro, Nio Garcia, Lalo Ebratt, and Ecko, to name a few.

Omy de Oro Signs Distribution Deal with Caroline

Omy de Oro has landed new representation…

Caroline has added the 25-year-old up-and-coming Puerto Rican trap and reggaetón artist, whose real name is Denis Omar Aponte, to its roster after signing a distribution deal with him.

Caroline, which is the independent distribution and label services arm of Capitol Music Group, will help develop the singer, who recently collaborated with global superstar Bad Bunny on the track “Subimos de Rango.”

Omy de Oro joins other Caroline signees including urbano artist Brytiago, rapper Lil BabyK-pop boy band NCT 127 and hip-hop artist Trippie Redd.

Omy de Oro launched his music career on the Freestyle Mania platform, where he uploaded freestyle videos to showcase his talent.

It wasn’t until 2019 that he got his big break, collaborating with reggaetonero Alex Rose on “No Te Asustes.” In 2020, he performed “Subimos de Rango” alongside Bad Bunny and Shootter Ledo at Calibash in Los Angeles.
