Lopez Embraces David Gandy in Teaser Photo From Her “First Love” Video Shoot

It looks like Jennifer Lopez’s First Love will be her steamiest…

The 44-year-old Puerto Rican singer/actress is preparing to release the official music video for her latest single “First Love,” and she has a sexy co-star.

Jennifer Lopez & David Gandy First Love

British supermodel David Gandy, who will portray la Lopez’s on-screen lover in the clip, recently teased the soon-to-be-released clip with a photo he shared on Facebook.

In the black-and-white picture, Lopez is seen embracing the hunktastic model.

The video, which was shot in a California desert outside of Los Angeles earlier this month by famed photographer Anthony Mandler, will be released later this month.

“The chemistry between Jennifer and David was amazing,” a source told MailOnline. “There were definite sparks between them and the video is going to be one of her steamiest yet.”

Gandy recently talked about playing J.Lo’s “first love” in an interview with Vogue. “I can’t be too specific about the video at this point as it’s not out yet, but I play her love interest,” he said. “I’ve been asked if I’d take part in music videos before and I’ve always said no, but I jumped at the chance of working with a music icon such as Jennifer.”

He continued, “The conditions to shoot in were very challenging due to the weather – we were in the desert outside L.A. and the winds were incredibly strong and we had to deal with plummeting temperatures and sandstorms – but the atmosphere on set was great and we all had a lot of fun.”

“First Love” is the latest single off Lopez’s new album A.K.A., which is scheduled to hit the stores on June 17.

Lopez performed the song at the Billboard Music Awards last weekend and during the season finale of American Idol on Wednesday night.

Lopez to Pen Her First Book “True Love”

Jennifer Lopez is adding “author” to her already impressive resume…

Celebra, a division of Penguin Group (USA), has announced plans to release the 44-year-old Puerto Rican singer, actress and American Idol judge’s first book — titled True Love — on Tuesday, October 28.

Jennifer Lopez

A hardcover edition of the book will be published simultaneously in English and Spanish.

In True Love, Lopez will write about what is being described as “one of her life’s most defining periods – the transformative two-year journey of how, as an artist and a mother, she confronted her greatest challenges, identified her biggest fears, and ultimately emerged a stronger person than she’s ever been.”

The book will include never-before-seen photographs and will be written like a personal diary with lessons and recollections.

“Writing True Love has been a deeply cathartic, personal, and vulnerable experience,” said Lopez. “If it were not for the love and courage given to me by my children, this story wouldn’t have been possible.  While I struggled with the decision of whether or not to release this book, I recognized that if it could touch even just one person then it would honestly become one of the most fulfilling endeavors of my life.”

A portion of the book’s proceeds will go to benefit The Lopez Family Foundation, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children.

The news of her memoir comes a day after Lopez was honored with the Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Celebra publisher Raymond Garcia acquired world rights from Benny Medina at The Medina Co.

“Jennifer Lopez is a remarkable author who fully invested her heart and soul into every page of her book,” said Garcia. “She channeled her unparalleled work ethic, fearless honesty, perpetual creativity, and artistic vision to realize an absolutely beautiful story that will surely touch and inspire readers around the world.”

Celebra also is home other high-profile authors including Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Rita Moreno, Ricky Martin, Mario Lopez, Victor Cruz, La La Anthony, George Lopez, Soledad O’Brien, Juanes and Thalia.

Shakira: The Best-Dressed Latina at the Billboard Music Awards

There’s no reason for Shakira to be blue

The 37-year-old Colombian singing sensation and The Voice coach rocked the red carpet at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, earning best-dressed Latina honors.

Shakira

Shakira, who performed a sizzling rendition of her latest single “Empire,” wore a tight-fitting and oh-so-sparkly blue dress from Julien Macdonald’s Fall 2014 collection

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer’s long-sleeved dress even showed a little skin with its sheer side panels.

Shakira

Later, Shakira returned to the stage for her high-octane performance in gorgeous gold dress with intricate details and skin-tight blackboots that came all the way up to her thighs.

But Shakira wasn’t the only Latina to shine on the red carpet…

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez, this year’s Icon Award recipient, turned heads when she bared plenty of leg in a red-hot sheer Donna Karan number.

The long-sleeved number featured a plunging neckline and high side slits, calling to mind her iconic, revealing Versace gown from the 2000 Grammys.

During the presentation of the Icon Award, Lopez performed “First Love” in a sequined black bodysuit with an illusion panel on the side. To accept the award, Lopez added a metallic gold skirt over the one-shouldered jumpsuit.
