Kid Cudi Announces the Title of His Third Studio Album

Will the third time be a charm for Kid Cudi?

The 28-year-old part-Mexican American singer, who will perform at this year’s Rock The Bells traveling hip-hop festival, has announced details about his third solo album.

Kid Cudi

“My new album is entitled ‘indicud,’ it will be my version of The Chronic 2001, some songs i’ll produce, others i’ll feat &/or play songwriter,” he tweeted, referencing Dr. Dre‘s influential 1999 album and calling the new set, “My best work.”

Kid Cudi teased that his third album will be upbeat, adding, “Hello again. Lets have some fun this time.” He did not announce a release date.

A “Chronic”-style effort would mark a return to hip-hop after the left-turn of “WZRD,” Cudi’s experimental rock collaboration with Dot da Genius. That album, released this February, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

Cudi’s previous solo effort was 2010’s “Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager.”
