Zack de la Rocha & Rage Against the Machine to Perform at Inaugural Andalucia Big Festival 

Zack de la Rocha is bringing the rage to Spain… 

The 52-year-old Mexican American musician, singer, songwriter, rapper and activist and his Rage Against the Machine band mates have joined the lineup of the inaugural Andalucia Big Festival in September.

Zack de la Rocha x Rage Against the MachineIt will marking de la Rocha and the band’s first show in the Spanish city of Malaga in 25 years.

The group will perform alongside Glass AnimalsMuse and Jamiroquai at the event that will take place in Malaga at Sacaba Beach on September 8, 9 and 10.

Among the other acts slated to appear at ABF are: Aurora, Gus Dapperton, Biffy Clyro, Years & Years, Stereophonics, Paolo Nutini, Michael Kiwanuka, Kevin Morby, Yard Act, Lucy Dacus, Run the Jewels, Kurt Vile & the Violators, Los Planetas and more.

Tickets for the festival from the organizers of the Mad Cool Festival will go on sale on Friday (April 29) here.

The Mad Cool team will double down on that September weekend by also hosting a one-day sister festival in Madrid on September 10, Mad Cool Sunset, which will feature another headlining set from Rage Against the Machine, as well as performances from Biffy Clyro, Glass Animals, Stereophonics, Run the Jewels, Kurt Vile and more.

The original Mad Cool festival will also be back in Madrid this summer from July 6-10 with a jam-packed lineup of huge stars, including headliners Metallica, Twenty One Pilots, Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Kings of Leon, Florence & the Machine, Pixies and Jack White, as well as Chvrches, Carly Rae Jepsen, Glass Animals, Wolf Alice, Yungblud, Deftones, St. Vincent, Foals, Alt-J, The War on Drugs, Haim, Phoebe Bridgers, Royal Blood, Zara Larsson, Leon Bridges, Animal Collective, Black Pumas, Local Natives, Princess Nokia, The Struts and many more.

Blacc to Perform at Milwaukee’s Summerfest This June

Aloe Blacc is heading to The Badger State.

The 36-year-old Panamanian American singer-songwriter is set to perform at this year’s Summerfest, the Guinness Book of World Records-certified largest festival in the world.

Aloe Blacc will join Kaskade, Bastille, the Flaming Lips, Sheryl Crow, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Santigold, Jane’s Addiction, DJ Paris Hilton, Kings of Leon, Florida Georgia Line, Kendrick Lamar, and more from June 24-28 and June 30-July 5 at Milwaukee’s Henry W. Maier Festival Park.

“Absolutely fantastic,” says Don Smiley, president & CEO of Summerfest, in regard to the 2015 line-up in a statement. “It’s the best line-up of bands in the U.S. and possibly the world. A true, quality choice of music for everyone.”

This year’s Summerfest anticipates its usual approximately 900,000 attendees to see a total of 800 acts and 1,000 performances (totaling last year to 1,353 hours, or about 57 days) spread across 11 days and 11 stages.

Mars to Perform at the MTV Europe Music Awards

Bruno Mars is bringing his sizzling stage presence to Europe…

The 28-year-old part-Puerto Rican singer has been added to the star-studded line-up of performers at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards.

It won’t be Mars’ first appearance at the annual awards show. He previously took the MTV EMAs’ stage in Belfast, Ireland in 2011.

For the upcoming show, Mars – nominated in two MTV EMA categories this year, including Best Male – will perform one of the tracks off his sophomore album, Unorthodox Jukebox.

Mars will join previously-announced performers like Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Kings of Leon, Icona Pop, Snoop Dogg, Afrojack, Imagine Dragons, The Killers and Katy Perry.

Set to air in the U.S. on November 10 live from the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, the event will be hosted by LMFAO‘s Redfoo. Singer Ariana Grande will serve as a backstage host.

Armisen to Direct a Kings of Leon Concert for American Express Unstaged

Fred Armisen is preparing to work with music royalty

The 46-year-old half-Venezuelan actor/comedian and former Saturday Night Live star is set to direct a Kings of Leon show next month for the American Express Unstaged series, according to the Associated Press.

The Portlandia star, who recently ended his SNL run after 11 years, has previously directed music videos and is himself a drummer and musician.

Armisen wrapped up his SNL run as his memorable punk character Ian Rubbish along with former Sonic Youth member Kim Gordon, J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols and former Sleater-Kinney guitarist and vocalist (and his Portlandia co-star) Carrie Brownstein, among others.

The Kings of Leon concert will take place on August 9th at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, and will be streamed by YouTube and Vevo.

It will mark the 13th entry in the American Express Unstaged series; the series’ last show featured Steve Buscemi directing Vampire Weekend, which had Armisen open as Ian Rubbish.

Kings of Leon’s next album, Mechanical Bull, will be out September 24th.

Dev to Co-Host Thsi Weekend’s mtvU Woodie Awards

This weekend, Dev will be sharing the stage with Jersey Shore’s Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio.

The 22-year-old Portuguese & Mexican American “In The Dark” singer/songwriter—who recently released the music video for her latest single “Kiss My Lips—and DelVecchio will co-host the 8th Annual mtvU Woodie Awards, according to the network.

The half-hour special will feature performances by Santigold, Mac Miller, Steve Aoki and some surprise guests.

“It’s pretty much live, so you can’t slip up and you can’t curse,” DelVecchio told Us Weekly before taping the special during the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. “It’s pretty cool because I’m actually doing two roles — I’m deejaying and hosting.”

“The Woodies are cool because it’s all about music and I love music. It doesn’t have to do with album sales or most popular people. It has to do with the performances and the music,” he adds. “Some of the greatest people started there. Wiz Khalifa started at the Woodies. Kings of Leon started at the Woodies.”
