Carlos Vives is celebrating another chart-topper…
The 60-year-old Colombian singer, songwriter and actor’s collaboration with Camilo, “Baloncito Viejo” has reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart as the song rises 2-1 on the June 11-dated ranking.
The move puts Vives back atop the tally. He last scored a champ in August 2019 when “Si Me Das Tu Amor,” with Wisin, climbed 3-1 in its 20th week.
He registers his ninth No. 1 on the chart, meanwhile, Camilo secures his second.
“Baloncito Viejo” jumps from No. 2 after a 42 percent surge in audience impressions, to 9.1 million, earned in the U.S. in the week ending June 5, according to Luminate.
The duo sends another pair to the runner-up slot: Prince Royce and Maria Becerra’s “Te Espero” dips 1-2 with 8.5 million impressions after its two-week reign.
“Baloncito Viejo,” released March 2 via Sony Music Latin/WK, leads in 13th week. It’s the fourth track in 2022 to have landed at the summit in at least 10 weeks or more.
Here’s the recap:

“Baloncito Viejo” concurrently makes progress on Latin Pop Airplay. It rises 2-1 as the Greatest Gainer of the week.
