Jacqueline Bracamontes will be reporting for host duty this week…
The 43-year-old Mexican actress, former model and beauty pageant titleholder will co-host this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards, taking place on Thursday, October 5.
It will be the first time serving as a host of the awards show for Bracamontes, who won Nuestra Belleza Jalisco 2000, Nuestra Belleza México 2000and represented her country at Miss Universe 2001.
She’ll be joined by fellow first-time host of the show, Danilo Carrera.
The 34-year-old Ecuadorian actor, presenter and model’s credits include El amor invencible, Vencer la ausencia andContigo sí.
Telemundo also announced the following artists were announced as presenters for the awards show: Eslabon Armado, Beéle, Christian Chávez (RBD), De La Ghetto, Danny Lux, La Materialista, Maite Perroni (RBD), Elena Rose, Alex Sensation, Mar Solis and Christopher Von Uckermann (RBD).
This year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida on Telemundo.
Sebastián Yatra is preparing for a special star moment…
The 28-year-old Colombian hitmaker will take part in a star-on-star interview at this year’s Billboard Latin Music Week.
Yatra, who has been pushing the boundaries of Latin pop, will be interviewed by by Lasso. The live Q&A will take place on Tuesday, October 3 at the Faena Forum Main Stage at 11:45 am ET.
In his upcoming interview with the Venezuelan singer/songwriter, the two South American artists will discuss Yatra’s creative process, his foray into the film industry, and how a multi-hyphenate artist manages success in a highly demanding Latin pop world. Topics will range from what inspires him and sparks curiosity, planning vs. flowing, mental health, tennis, and the power of one’s voice. The “Tacones Rojos” singer will also reveal what’s next for him.
Yatra continues his skyward ascent this year. Amid releasing a string of viral singles like “Vagabundo” with Manuel Turizo and Beéle and his latest solo hit “Energía Bacana,” Yatra was selected as the official musical opener for the 2023 U.S. Open tennis tournament.
He also received 2023 RIAA Honors for “driving the rise across American music, culture and society,” alongside global icon Gloria Estefan.
Currently, the Medellín artist is in the running for two 2023 Billboard Latin Music Awards: Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Solo and Latin Pop Song of the Year for “Una Noche Sin Pensar.” Last year, Yatra achieved a No. 36 slot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 for “Dos Oruguitas” from Disney’s Encanto and has positioned himself multiple times on Billboard’s Global charts.
In 2022, the moderator and Yatra collaborated on the pop-rock ballad “Ojos Marrones.” Lasso’s “Ojos Marrones” is nominated for three Latin Grammys: record of the year, song of the year, and best pop/rock song. The song also became the Venezuelan artist’s first entry into the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US charts.
The 20-year-old Colombian singer checks off a career milestone this week as he earns his first No. 1 on a Billboard chart with “Vagabundo,” his collaboration with Sebastian Yatra and Manuel Turizo.
The song rises 7-1 to crown the Latin Airplay chart dated September 2.
“Vagabundo” climbs with a 34% gain in audience impressions, to 9.2 million, earned in the U.S. in the week ending August 24, according to Luminate.
The song, released via Universal Latino/UMLE on May 12, also arrives at the summit on Latin Pop Airplay (hopping 2-1).
“Vagabundo” earns Beele his first champ on his third appearance on Latin Airplay.
He reached a No. 36 high previously with another Turizo team-up, “+Linda,” which also credited Dalex, Arcangel and De La Ghetto in 2021.
Yatra, meanwhile, picks up his 11th ruler on Latin Airplay. The new champ arrives after “Tacones Rojos” ruled for one week in February 2022.
Turizo captures his seventh No. 1, and third of the year, following “La Bachata,” and “Merengue” with Marshmello, both with one week in charge.
The 25-year-old Panamanian singer-songwriter has released his third studio album Sin Sol.
For the new album, Boza traveled across Europe seeking inspiration for his new lyrics and sound — such as beach getaways in Spain and late-night walks in Italy.
The set kicks off with “Talismán,” a smooth hip-hop track about a failed “perfect” relationship that highlights his infectious vocal range; followed by “Sin Waze,” a sensual Afrobeats cut about euphoric love; and transitioning to “Pa’ Que Tú Me Vea,” an EDM jam that narrates the story of a man who’s convincing a girl to leave her toxic relationship.
Though he’s still rooted in the reggae plena sound that made him a household name, Boza gets experimental on his new 13-track set.
In the Dalex-assisted “Volar,” produced by Sky Rompiendo, he dips his toes in a sugary electronica melody; in “Rompeolas – Acústica,” he passionately sings over weeping guitar riffs, and in “Te Conozco” he drops a hard-hitting dancehall groove.
Reggaetón also makes a strong presence in Sin Sol, as heard in tracks like “Qué Prefieres?” with Beéle and “Booty Puty.”
The set wraps with “Ocean,” where he reels in Mexican pop star Kenia Os for a sultry Afrobeats-meets-electronic song about having undeniable chemistry.

The upbeat pop album with heartfelt ballads, is a combination of melancholic pop powered by thumping beat tracks.
“No Se Va,” a groovy tune about memories that stay with us after a relationship reaches its end, is one of those tracks and so is the sensual “Sábanas Mojadas.” Then there’s the infectious party anthem “Party, Humo y Alcohol.”
Composed by an all-star team of songwriters, the album’s focus track “Miami” features emerging act Beele and perfectly encapsulates the eclectic energy that gives life to the entire set.
Lenny Tavarez is using his voice to take a stand against domestic violence.
The Puerto Rican Latin trap singer is offering listeners a taste of his sensitive side in his latest single, “La Mujer Traiciona,” which features 17-year-old upcoming artist Beéle.
“La Mujer Traiciona” narrates the story of a woman who is unfaithful as a result of physical, mental and emotional abuse from her partner.
“If a woman doesn’t feel protected and doesn’t feel loved, she will most probably betray her partner,” Tavarez tells Billboard. “This song was born with the need to give women a weapon to say ‘yes, I failed you but it was your fault.’”
Recent statistics by the National Domestic Violence Hotline show that “on average, 24 people per minute are victims of rape, physical violence or stalking by an intimate partner in the United States,” which is why Tavarez decided to bring up the important social issue.
“Not only do we want to raise awareness but we want to make it clear that domestic violence is a problem,” he says. “Above all, we want to empower women not to give up and to seek help if this is happening to them.”
Directed by Laura Castellanos, the music video shows the heartbreaking storyline of a woman who is a victim of abuse but in the end, leaves her toxic relationship. The closing frame shares the phone number to National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1−800−799−7233.
“It was incredible to film this video during the pandemic,” Tavarez says, explaining that Beéle filmed his part in Bogota, the actors were filmed in Medellin, and he filmed in Miami.
For his new track, which is a tropical dancehall with Afrobeat melodies, Tavarez teamed up with Beéle because he admires his incredible voice and clarity on his sound. “I’m really happy to have him on this song. I like to vouch for the newer talents.”
As for the best advice he can offer to men and women in this situation? “It all starts with self-love,” he says. “If you give your partner an environment of love, your partner will respond with the same. Men, don’t ever lay a hand on a woman for any reason and women, be smart! Many times men give the wrong signals from the beginning.”
“La Mujer Traiciona,” which was produced by Dimelo Flow and King Swifft, forms part of Tavarez’s upcoming studio album Krack, which includes collaborations with Nicky Jam, Rauw Alejandro, Cazzu, Anitta and Natanael Cano, among others.
