Lele Pons to Perform at This Year’s Latin American Music Awards

Lele Pons is ready for one of the biggest performances of her career…

The 22-year-old Venezuelan-American singer, actress and internet personality is set to perform at this year’s Latin American Music Awards, which bring together the best of Latin pop, rock, Regional Mexican, tropical and urban music in one event.

Pons, the host of La Voz… México, released her latest single “Celoso” earlier this year.

Maluma is also confirmed to perform at the fourth annual show to be held from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, on October 25.

Maluma has placed 24 songs on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart, nine of which went to No. 1: “Borro Cassette” (2015), “El Perdedor” featuring Yandel (2016), “Sin Contrato” that featured a version with Fifth Harmony and another with Don Omar & Wisin (2017), “Vente Pa’ Ca” by Ricky Martin featuring Maluma (2016), Shakira’s “Chantaje” featuring Maluma (2016), “Felices los 4” (2017), “Corazón” with Nego do Borel (2018), “El Préstamo” (2018, leading for 2 weeks), and “El Clavo” by Prince Royce featuring Maluma (Sept. 1, 2018).

His sophomore album, Pretty Boy Dirty Boydebuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart in 2015, and his latest album, F.A.M.E.debuted at No. 1 this June and currently stands at No. 5 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart.

The 27-year-old Spanish-German singer will perform at this year’s Latin American Music Awards, which celebrate the best of Latin pop, rock, regional Mexican, Tropical and more.

Soler rose to prominence across Europe and Latin America with his 2015 hit “El Mismo Sol“, primarily hitting success in Italy, Switzerland and Mexico. A special bilingual Spanish-English version of “El Mismo Sol”, featuring Jennifer Lopez, was also recorded for international release in the United States, in the United Kingdom, and worldwide. He most recently released his sophomore album, Mar de Colores.

In addition to Soler, the three-hour fan-voted award show will also feature special performances by Banda MS de Sergio LizárragaBecky GCardi B, Christian NodalCNCOFlo RidaLeslie GraceLudacrisPitbullPrince Royce and Tini.

Reyes to Perform at This Year’s Latin American Music Awards

The 20-year-old Mexican singer, who was discovered by way of YouTube, has been added to the list of performers for the second annual Latin American Music Awards.

Earlier this year, Reyes released her third single “Solo Yo“, a heartfelt ballad and her first singing collaboration with mentor Prince Royce. Both are featured in the official music video.

Along with Reyes, the new roster of performers includes Pitbull, Banda MS, Flo Rida, Miguel Bosé, Joey Montana, Alvaro Soler and Baby Rasta & Gringo.

They join previously announced performances by CNCO, Gente de Zona, Gerardo Ortiz, Jesse & JoyPrince Royce, among others.

Yandel and Banda MS lead this year’s nominations with six nods each. Other top nominees include Nicky Jam, Enrique Iglesias, J Balvin and Los Plebes de Ariel Camacho.

The 2016 Latin AMAs are set to take place on October 6 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

The ceremony, hosted by Mexican singer and actress Lucero, will broadcast live on Telemundo, which will include a special tribute in honor of the late Mexican singer and songwriter Juan Gabriel, who died August 28.

Alvaro Soler is making waves under the American sun

The 24-year-old Spanish singer-songwriter is scaling Billboard‘s Latin charts with the Jennifer Lopez-assisted version of his breakout hit “El Mismo Sol.

The track, which first took hold in Europe earlier in 2015, moves 50-25 in its second week on the
Latin Airplay chart. It reached No. 1 on the charts in Italy and Switzerland.

Additionally, the song leaps 44-34 on the Hot Latin Songs chart.

The collaborative effort also boasts an English version, “El Mismo Sol (Under the Same Sun).”

The song is the lead single from Soler’s debut studio album Eterno Agosto.
