TINI Appears on Coldplay’s Latest Single “We Pray”

TINI’s prayer has been answered…

Coldplay has released its new single “We Pray,” which features an appearance by the 27-year-old Argentine singer, actress, dancer and model.

TINIIn addition to TINI, the single also includes vocals by Little Simz, Burna Boy and Palestinian-Chilean singer-songwriter Elyanna.

Few would expect Chris Martin & Co. to lead off a New Music Friday single featuring an All-Star global cast of singers and rappers — but Coldplay has extended their pop-rock superstardom into its third decade largely due to their willingness to embrace younger artists and new sounds.

So it’s not exactly shocking — and decently rousing — to hear Martin belting “We’ll be singing, Baraye!” over a booming Max Martin-co-produced beat as voices from around the world support him in hoping for simpler and safer times.

“I know somewhere that heaven is waitin’/ And so we pray/ I know somewhere there’s something amazin’/ And so we pray/ I know somewhere we’ll feel no pain/ Until we make it to the end of the day,” the uplifting chorus declares.

Coldplay is currently in the midst of their massive Music of the Spheres World Tour.

According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, the run has grossed $945.7 million and sold 8.8 million tickets since launching in March 2022. That makes it both the highest grossing and best-selling trek among rock acts in the almost 40 years that Boxscore has been tracking concert data.

Coldplay is gearing up to release their 10th studio album, Moon Music, which is set to drop on October 4 and is led by LP’s first single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove.” In line with the foursome’s long-standing eco-ethics, Coldplay has “gone to great lengths” to make the physical release of Moon Music “as sustainable as possible,” according to a statement.

Each 140g LP will contain some nine recycled PET-plastic bottles recovered from post-consumer waste, and the CD version is said be the “world’s first” to be released on EcoCD, created from 90% recycled polycarbonate, also sourced from post-consumer waste.

TINI previously sang alongside Coldplay at River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires in 2022, singing “Let Somebody Go / Carne y Hueso” during her surprise appearance.
