Ozuna Signs with William Morris Endeavor (WME)

Ozuna has new representation…

William Morris Endeavor (WME) has signed the 30-year-old Puerto Rican singer and rapper in all areas.

Ozuna“I am excited to collaborate with many of the top agents at WME to further connect with my incredible fans in inventive ways and continue to bring my culture to the masses,” the Puerto Rican singer born Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado said in a statement. “As an artist, I want to expand my brand and develop new and exciting opportunities together in all aspects of entertainment.”

His WME signing comes on the heels of the announcement of his 2022 global tour Ozutochi, which kicks off June 30 in Seville, Spain, and will make its way across Europe and the U.S. before wrapping on December 9 at the FTX Arena in Miami.

Ozuna kicked off 2022 with his Christina Aguilera duet, “Santo,” and dropped a trio of singles over the past few months, including “Deprimida,” “G-Wagon” and “Apretatio.”

Most recently, he released “Ceremonia,” which will appear in the upcoming HBO Max remake of Father of the Bride.

The artist is also working on his fifth studio album, which will follow his sets Odisea, Aura, ENOC, and Nibiru, all of which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Additionally, he’s placed over 100 entries in Hot Latin Songs, including five No. 1 hits: “Te Bote,” “Taki Taki,” “Otro Trago,” “China,” and “Mamacita.”

Wisin & Yandel Break Own Record by Selling Out Nine Concerts at The Coliseo de Puerto Rico

Wisin & Yandel are on Cloud Nine

The Puerto Rican reggaeton duo has broken their own record after selling out nine concerts at The Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, which will take place in December as part of their 2022 La Ultima Mision Tour.

Wisin & YandelAccording to figures provided to Billboard by event promoter Paco Lopez, the reggaeton duo sold out nine dates in 24 hours, resulting in 864,000 ticket sales and a $5 million gross. A tenth date was announced Saturday morning (March 19).

With this feat, the “Recordar” artists officially break the very record that they achieved in 2018 with eight sold-out Choliseo shows, part of their Como Antes Tour.

“We are more than grateful and excited with the reaction of our dear people in Puerto Rico, and we are more than ready to leave everything on stage,” the duo expressed in a statement. “We always carry the name of Puerto Rico high, and that will continue to be part of our history.”

The new additions come four days after both artists announced dates for their 2022 La Ultima Mision trek presented by Live Nation. The tour, kicking off September 30 at the FTX Arena in Miami, marks the duo’s last run together.

“Our career as a duo has been blessed and successful,” Wisin previously told Billboard. “We can’t predict the future but we’re very responsible for the brand and that’s what we want to do in this tour. We want our fans to remember the 2000s hits. More than a goodbye, it’s trajectory.”

In Puerto Rico, La Ultima Mision will kick off on December 1, followed by nine other shows until December 22.

Soda Stereo’s COVID-19-Postponed “Gracias Totales” Tour Getting an Early 2022 Reboot

Soda Stereo is preparing for a restart…

The Argentine rock band’s long-awaited Gracias Totales tour — which launched on February 29, 2020, in Colombia but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak – is set to resume with new U.S. dates.

Soda Stereo

Part tribute to the rock band’s late frontman Gustavo Cerati and part reunion of the band’s surviving members Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti, the tour will resume on February 27, 2022, at Miami’s FTX Arena (formerly American Airlines Arena) and on March 3 at The Forum in Inglewood, California. The Miami show will be presented by Move Concerts and Loud And Live and Live Nation will present the LA area show.

The Gracias Totales tour will feature special performances and state-of-the-art technology that will make it possible for fans to enjoy the voice and image of Cerati.

“It is exciting to hear the whole process of how the band is doing,” the tour’s production manager and the band’s first manager and sound engineer said in a statement. “I think that people are going to be moved, not only because of the technical aspects but also the spirit and energy are impressive.”

Fourteen invited artists were set to appear during the previous U.S. dates including Gustavo Santaolalla, Draco Rosa, Julieta Venegas, Richard Coleman and AterciopeladosAndrea Echeverri, to name a few. No word yet on the final guest lineup.

The previously announced shows in New York and Houston will not be rescheduled according to a “lack of availability of adequate venues because of the post-COVID concert schedule.” However, promoters will fully refund those who purchased their tickets.

Tickets for the Miami and LA shows are already on sale via ticketmaster.com.
