Santa Fe Klan Signs Management Deal with Prajin Parlay Inc.

Santa Fe Klan is under new management…

The 24-year-old Mexican singer-songwriter and rapper has signed a management deal with Prajin Parlay Inc., effective immediately.

Santa Fe Klan,The indie record label is also home to música Mexicana phenomenon, Peso Pluma.

“Santa Fe Klan has accomplished an incredible amount for música Mexicana and his community over the last few years,” CEO and manager of Peso, George Prajin, said in a press statement. “He is an impressive young man and we are looking forward to helping him continue cultivating his skills as both a musician and businessman.”

“As I enter this next chapter in my career I’m excited to join the Prajin Parlay roster and I’m excited for my fans to see everything we have planned for 2024,” added the renowned Mexican rapper born Ángel Quezada.

Additionally, Prajin is a partner in Doble P Records alongside Peso, who expressed “I’ve always admired Santa Fe Klan and I know he’s going to make a great addition to our family.”

On the 2023 Billboard Year-End charts, Prajin Parlay Inc.—also home to Jasiel Nuñez, Tito Doble P, and more—landed No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs Publisher chart.

The label, next to Doble P Records, had a breakthrough year ranking high on many of the year-end Billboard charts including Hot Latin Songs Imprint, Regional Mexican Albums Labels and Independent Labels, to name a few.

Born in Guanajato, Mexico, Santa Fe Klan (his artistic name is an ode to his barrio) recorded and uploaded his own music to YouTube and SoundCloud when he was a teenager. His love for rap and hip-hop music was inspired by artists such as Cartel de Santa and MC Davo, and his ultra-personal and raw lyricism ultimately landed him collaborations with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Lupillo Rivera and Calibre 50.

His first entry on Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs arrived in April 2022 with “Mar y Tierra,” part of his fifth studio album Mundo, which debuted at No. 4 on Latin Pop Albums and No. 11 on Latin Rhythms Albums.

Earlier this year, Santa Fe earned his first career No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart with the Los Ángeles Azules and Cazzu-assisted “Tú y Tú.”

Maluma Makes Billboard Chart History as His Carin Leon-Collab “Según Quien” Tops Two Latin Charts

Maluma is back at the top of the charts… And, he’s making history in the process.

The 29-year-old Colombian singer and Carin Leon’s single “Según Quien” has advanced 3-1 to lead Billboard’s December 16-dated Latin Airplay chart.

Maluma

The move gives Maluma his 24th champ, while León captures his second.

“Según Quien” crowns the all-genre airplay chart with a 50% gain in audience impressions, to 13.2 million, earned in the U.S. in the week ending December 7, according to Luminate.

The song is one of 24 tracks from Maluma’s Grammy-nominated Don Juan album, which debuted at No. 11 on the Top Latin Albums chart last September.

In addition to its first week at No. 1 on Latin Airplay, “Según Quien” also lands at the summit on Regional Mexican Airplay (rising 11-1) for its first week in charge, and gives León his fifth leader there. He previously reached No. 1 with the three-week champ “Indispensable,” his first ruler with no accompanying acts, last August. Maluma claims his second, after “Cada Quien” in 2022.

Notably, as the Maluma-León partnership takes over both tallies, Maluma becomes the first urban artist to lead the rankings simultaneously since Latin Airplay and Regional Mexican Airplay launched in 1994.

Only two other urban artists have reached the penthouse on Regional Mexican Airplay: Cazzu and Santa Fe Klan, through their equally billed collab “Tú y Tú,” with Los Ángeles Azules, in May; the song peaked at No. 5 on Latin Airplay during the same period.

Further, “Según Quien” becomes the fifth champ by two co-billed male soloists on Latin Airplay out of the 33 No. 1s in 2023. They include:

Artists, Title, Peak Date, Weeks at No. 1
Marshmello & Manuel Turizo, “El Merengue,” June 10, one
Yng Lvcas & Peso Pluma, “La Bebe,” July 15, one
Feid & Sean Paul, “Niña Bonita,” Aug. 19, one
Ozuna & Amarion, “Tucu,” Sept. 9, one
Maluma & Carin León, “Según Quien,” Dec. 19

Cazzu Earns First No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay Chart with Santa Fe Klan & Los Ángeles Azules Single “Tú y Tú”

It’s a career first for Cazzu

The 29-year-old Argentine rapper and singer and Santa Fe Klan have each scored their first No. 1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart as “Tú y Tú,” with Los Ángeles Azules, rises 3-1 to lead the May 20-dated survey.

CazzuThe new leader yields both Cazzu and Santa Fe Klan’s first champ in their maiden chart appearance.

“Tú y Tú,” released via SeiTrack/Disa/UMLE on March 10, takes over Regional Mexican Airplay in its eighth week after a 28% boost in audience impressions, to 8.5 million, earned in the U.S. during the May 5-11 tracking week, according to Luminate.

As “Tú y Tú” rises to the top of the ranking, Cazzu and Santa Fe Klan become the first artists to claim a No. 1 in their maiden chart performance among the nine tracks that have crowned Regional Mexican Airplay in 2023.

The last artist to pick up a first No. 1 in a first attempt was Mario Bautista, as “Brindo” with Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga led for one week on June 11, 2022.

Previously, Eden Muñoz completed the deed with “Chale!” (May 21, 2022).

“Tú y Tú” ascends 3-1 and sends Grupo Marca Registrada and Grupo Frontera’s “Di Que Sí” to No. 6 after its three-week domination, with a 39% dip in audience (to 5.2 million).

“Tú” also brings Los Ángeles Azules back to No. 1. The cumbia sonidera ensemble last ranked first through the three-week ruler “Nunca Es Suficiente,” with Natalia Lafourcade, in early 2019. In between, the group collected five top 10s, including the No. 2-peaking “Amor a Primera Vista,” with Belinda and Lao Ebratt, featuring Horacio Palencia, in August 2019.

Elsewhere, “Tú” continues its progress on the all-genre Latin Airplay chart, reaching its No. 5 high.

Snow Tha Product Releases Sophomore Studio Album “To Anywhere”

Snow Tha Product is heading anywhere

The 35-year-old Mexican-American rapper has released her highly-anticipated second studio album To Anywhere.

Snow tha ProductReleased six years after the debut album, the new studio effort is packed with 14 tracks, an intro and one interlude.

The album, which should be listened from top to bottom, is an autobiographical narrative where Snow details her journey in the industry as a Mexican-American rapper.

“Now that I’m growing up I realize I do deserve to be happy. And even though things are hard sometimes, you need to do what really makes you happy,” she says in the intro, setting up the vibe of the album.

While Snow raps about her hustle and struggles, one thing is clear: Snow is, artistically and personally, as confident as ever. And she isn’t holding back either, calling out those who wanted to see her fail.

Sonically, To Anywhere is a collection of styles, with Snow embracing reggaetón, hip-hop and trap, to name a few.

Snow also brings in special guest stars like Vf7, Santa Fe Klan, Lauren Jauregui and Juicy J to join her on a few songs.
